Learn to Skate by taking Private Skating Lessons in Digi Roller Skating Rink

If you live on the south side of Brisbane, the only place to skate is at the DIGI Roller Skating Rink at Hillcrest. There are two other skating rinks on the north side, one at Nundah and the other at Albany Creek, but for everyone on the south side, Digi’s is the place to learn to skate.

Why learn to skate?

You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy skating, because even as adults, we still like to have fun and skating is the very definition of fun. So you can send the kids along with their friends, go along on your own or grab a few friends and head off to the skating rink to learn to skate.

Skating has lots of other benefits, apart from the fun aspect – it is a great form of exercise and is easy on the joints, you can make heaps of new friends and expand your social circle, and it gets both the kids and yourself away from the TV or the computer.

There are different levels of skating and as you progress through these levels, you will increase your skills and become more confident in yourself. You can even learn artistic skating, try your skills at hockey on skates, and learn speed skating or join the Roller Derby – skating can become your new passion!

The learn to skate program at Digi’s

Digi’s have fully qualified and certified coaches available for public lessons and for private lessons. If you want to join in the public coaching sessions, these are held these on Saturdays from 9am to 10am for anyone and there is no need to book, just turn up on time. They also have a public learn to skate session for adults on Wednesdays from 9.30 to 11am.

For their private group coaching sessions or their one-on-one learn to skate program, simply give Digi’s Roller Skating Rink a call and arrange a suitable time for everyone. Once you start skating, you will wonder why you didn’t try it years ago – it is so much fun!

Digi Roller Skating Classes for Kids – 5 Great Benefits

With the holidays here again, it can sometimes be difficult to find ways to occupy the kids for more than a few hours. Well, you are in luck, because once your kids find their passion for roller skating, they will be badgering you to send them to the Digi Roller skating classes for kids we have here every Saturday morning.

Then once they have learnt the basic skills of roller skating, they can come here anytime over the holidays and you know they will be having a fun time in a safe environment. Even better, the cost of skating is really cheap, so you won’t feel that you have to re-mortgage the family home just to entertain the kids.

You will also be happy to know that there are 5 great benefits to the Digi roller skating lessons for kids:

1.Exercise: Roller skating is a great form of exercise which moves all of the major muscle groups in the body and is easy on the joints. So your kids will really have a fabulous workout here and go home feeling tired and happy.

2.Self-esteem: Taking skating lessons helps to build up children’s self-esteem, as well as their self-confidence. Both traits will take them far in life and will help them to socialise both in school and outside in the community.

3.Winning and losing: At the Digi roller skating classes for kids, we have lots of competitions and they also earn stars as they progress through the different skill levels. This gives all of our kids a gentle introduction to the art winning and losing gracefully, skills which will help them to move forward in life and to make the most out of every opportunity.

4.Coordination: Basic skating skills and other more advanced skills require balance and coordination. So skating helps your children to hone these skills, which will help with their self-confidence as they progress through life.

5.Team spirit: Learning to work within a team and to help others, is a skill that will benefit your kids in every facet of their lives and in so many different ways.

As you can see, Digi roller skating classes for kids teach so much more than simply skating to your children.

Roller Skating Lessons for Beginners and Kids

Most of us want our children to spend more time playing outdoors with their friends and learning about the real world, rather than simply sitting behind the computer playing games all day. We know that times change and our kids need to be tech savvy, but they also need more stimulation than playing computer games all day can give them.

So if you are looking for an interesting and fun activity for your children - have you considered roller skating lessons for kids?

At Digi Roller Skating Rink we have roller skating lessons for beginners, intermediates and advanced. We even have inline skating lessons.

Roller skating is a great way for all of the family to have fun together, as well as for your kids to have fun with their friends. You can drop your kids off here for their roller shaking lessons and know that they will be here for a few hours and they will be safe.

You will be amazed at how much fun kids can have roller skating and even they will be surprised at how much they actually enjoy coming to Digis and racing around the rink with their friends.

We have 4 Star levels of training with certificates and prizes for achieving each of the different levels. All of our coaches are experts and very professional. It doesn’t matter the level of your child’s current roller skating skills, because they will learn even more from our experienced and qualified coaches.

Our Star Class Skaters quite often love skating so much that they move on to artistic, hockey, derby or speed skating here at Digi Roller Skating Rink. Our rolling skating lessons for beginners are not only for kids, we have lessons for adults as well. You might be surprised at how many adults actually come and learn how to skate. They want to learn so they can spend quality time with their kids, they want to increase their fitness level or they just want to have their own fun.

So don’t forget to check out our  roller skating for kids  and even try a few lessons for yourself at Digi Roller Skating Rink.
